Poetry for the Inner Ear

 Heavens sadden with nuclear threat helpless children and mother abandoned to their fate war grows furious and cruel far from genocide and suicide we need to kneel before altar of compassion such peace deeply felt at last we regain paradise an angel descends from skies peace shall reign for ever

Without Peace: Nothing  No matter how sincerely we hear the righteous god to us is merciful if we don't go astray on path of virtue millions of people indifferent  distress and pain of  refugees and orphans all the danger shows amid ignorant fighting at night peace flies away as we continue to slay in the streets how much these little children must endure

Almighty god is our Help  living amid dictators cruel heart endures tribulation with prayer ceaseless inner peace possible extermination camp and gas chamber fear of nuclear war frightens nerve and sinew desolate person waits on the lord little acts of  kindness heavens rejoice and stars shine out though night is stormy

Let us not harden our heart  People say vulnerability is weakness but it pours upon us glorious humility opens door to new blessings it is impossible for devils to be humble angels bow down to worship god death has no power over them being humble is awesome emblem of peace and joy holy water heals us

No person can defeat God  living in an immoral world striving to avert atomic war ceaseless prayer our only weapon the gate of dawn warmth and light all these charms are now fled amid life's uncertainties god will fight for us as his will always prevails

Truth endures forever my soul pining for world peace to abide in tribulation with god's chosen few and hear command of holy spirit only with faith in kingdom of rose and delectable mountains we defeat devil's valley of death unafraid of terrorism with silent prayer we hope to enter paradise

Let us not harden our heart  fiercer and fiercer every day the counsel of  brutal violence producing false philosophy of  tyranny dissolution of war-driven  kingdom of evil possible only with purified power of light new world of liberty and compassion not far away we have to give up obsession to preserve fascism the end should never justify the means happy are people with tender mercies

 devils of war wreak havoc unaware of pure wisdom indifferent to inner sacred dignity defenseless we are darkness horrible already we choose new ballistic missile launch more than battle's sound we need to pray altar light deeper every day its power remains

  Violence will not triumph   Killing indiscriminately day to day grows darkness more and more prefer   humble and   nonviolent political opinion god will dwell with us let   our guardian angel decide what is best to our story newspapers and magazines fail to provide   evidence fearless birds singing amid chemical warfare
