Hope for thy light and truth


 evil will never win

if we obey inner sacred voice

and pray god dwells in our heart for ever

in several ways the wicked persecute the upright

to find life let us remember

forgiveness greater than everything

guiltless heart and charity

fruitful soil if we could add deeds

every kind of devil will be tamed

such perfidious time

violence, bloodbath again

I fear nothing for thou my friend art with me

Edmund Spenser's Pictorial Power

Bloggers Community Spenser’s masterpiece Fairy Queen is an exraordinary allegory. Dryden aptly remarks about Spenser: “ No man was ever born with a greater genius or more knowledge to support it”. He has been rightly described as the ‘poets’ poet’ as Shakespeare, Wordsworth, Shelley, Keats, Tennyson, the Pre-Raphaelites, and other numberless poets were immensely influenced by him.
