DRUSKININAI POETIC FALL 2009: Haiku Moment on the Peaks
.
Haiku Moment on the Peaks
"Haiku is not a shriek, a howl, a sigh, or a yawn; rather, it is the deep breath of life."-Santoka Taneda
for Adelaide M., Terry Collett, Richard Lynn Livesay
DRUSKININAI POETIC FALL 2009
O vilnius birds
Don’t be weary-hearted
Poets are here cheering you
fog-drenched vilnius
I search technique
Of writing haiku
Bees collect dew
Flowers many-
DPF 2009
Silent whisperings
Mystic hours-
DPF 2009
After death
Resurrection possible
With immortal haiku
I speak in whisper
To amber
In vilnius
With raindrops
I anoint my body
Before writing
Quiet interaction:
haiku, amber,
vilnius labyrinth
what a beautiful sight-
brilliant poets
reading haiku in vilnius
baroque buildings
restored houses
there is amber wherever we look
Sudden shower in vilnius
A haiku poet
Touches rain water
on the road a poet-
competing with the rain
to attend vilnius haiku festival
birds from 21 countries
never stop singing in vilnius- druskininai
one haiku after another
poets reading haiku in vilnius
red rose blossoming
touches our nostrils
winged horse
pegasus crosses several nations
DPF festival 2009
haiku is life
love and future:
Europe’s culture capital
dreamy twilight in Vilnius:
rainbow of cultures
a lovelier haiku festival was never held
DPF Festival 2009
will live as long as haiku is read
I participated and found truth
poetic fire hanging over us
reveals rose and lotus
yes, that’s DPF- vth WHA Conference 2009
green grass better
if it is wet-
vilnius poets know that
-Santosh Kumar,
Vilnius, September 2009

Faith in the Almighty Lord creates love, peace, brotherhood, inner joy, patience, humbleness, righteousness, kindness, and self-restraint.These good qualities alone can protect our world "where ignorant armies clash by night".
