Haiku of Five Lines

Most of the haiku are written in three lines, but in the postmodern age we find several variants also:one-word haiku, one-line haiku, vertical haiku also called haiqua having four or five lines.

terrorist invisible
no sunshine
no water
extremism

wicked
contempt
destruction
slothful
satan's tower

iii.

from enemies
lord delivers
strength
blessed
strength

iv.

my refuge
my supplications
righteousness
singing
faith

    Haiku of five lines is the latest trend in the world of haiku. Writing haiku in 5-7-5 format should not be mandatory.

Edmund Spenser's Pictorial Power

Bloggers Community Spenser’s masterpiece Fairy Queen is an exraordinary allegory. Dryden aptly remarks about Spenser: “ No man was ever born with a greater genius or more knowledge to support it”.
